Promoting Healthy Families works to support women who may need additional resources to maintain a healthy pregnancy, and to provide services that promote the growth and development of healthy children. Nurses and social workers work with physicians to make sure that women are connecting with services, such as Healthy Kids insurance, housing and nutritional issues. The Healthy Families staff also mentor new parents to assist in understanding child behavior, growth and development.
